 Rodney Tow
Rodney Tow is board certified in Consumer Bankruptcy Law and Business Bankruptcy Law. Rodney has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Bachelors Degree in Aquatic Biology from the University of Texas at Austin, graduating in 1978. He attended law school at the University of Houston, graduating in 1984. Prior to entering law school, Rodney served as a State Representative, first for Montgomery and Walker Counties and after redistricting, a portion of Montgomery County. He initially started as a general practitioner handling civil and criminal matters. However, he quickly developed a bankruptcy practice, which flourished, and in 1992 he became a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee. As a Trustee, Rodney oversees hundreds of bankruptcy cases each year and administers the bankruptcy estates in order to recover assets and pay creditors.
Rodney Tow practices in The Woodlands, Texas. He was born in Conroe, Texas on October 22, 1954. He was admitted to practice law on May 11, 1984. He received his law degree from the University of Houston School of Law on May 12, 1984. He graduated from the University of Texas in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science in Aquatic Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
Mr. Tow served in the Texas Legislature from 1981 through 1984. He was appointed to the Texas Health Facilities by Governor Mark White in 1985.
Mr. Tow is licensed in the State of Texas, in the Southern District of Texas, and in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Montgomery County Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association, and the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees. He was chosen as a Super Lawyer in Consumer Bankruptcy law for 2003 and 2004.
Mr. Tow has served as a Chapter 7 panel trustee for the Southern District of Texas since October 1990. He has handled thousands of cases for debtors and creditors and served as Trustee on several thousand cases. He successfully argued In re Zibman 268 F.3d 298 (5th Cir. 2001) which addressed exemptions relating to proceeds from the sale of homesteads in Texas. He has also served as a Chapter 11 trustee and as a Chapter 11 Plan Distribution Trustee
Mr. Tow was the Chair for the Houston Bar Association Annual Bankruptcy Seminar at the Courthouse in February 2003 and 2004. He has spoken at several seminars. He is Board Certified in Consumer and Business Bankruptcy. |

Julie M. Koenig
Julie M. Koenig is an attorney practicing law in Houston, Harris County, Texas and the Woodlands, Montgomery County, Texas. Ms. Koenig was admitted to the State Bar of Texas on November 10, 1988 and admitted to practice in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas on March 17, 1989; in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Texas on September 9, 1989; the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Texas on November 13, 1996; and in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals on October 12, 1989.
Ms Koenig is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and a former member of the Texas Young Lawyers Association, and the Houston Young Lawyers Association. She is also a former member of the Houston Women's Bankruptcy Conference and a member and former Secretary/Treasurer and current Vice President of the Houston Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, f/k/a the Houston Association of Debtor's Attorneys. She has spoken at several seminars, including the International Bankruptcy Seminar.
Ms. Koenig received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas A & M University in 1981 and received her Doctorate of Jurisprudence Degree from South Texas College of Law in May, 1988. Ms Koenig practiced with the law firm of J. Craig Cowgill and Associates from 1989 until 1998. Ms. Koenig was in private practice from 1998 until 2001 when she formed a partnership with Rodney Tow. Ms. Koenig's legal practice consists primarily of bankruptcy and related matters, both for creditors, debtors and Trustees with the firm of Tow & Koenig, PLLC. She handles Chapter 7 & 11 Bankruptcies for both individuals and businesses and Adversary Proceedings in the Federal Bankruptcy Court. She also represents Chapter 7 Trustees. Yvette Recio
Ms. Recio received her Doctorate of Jurisprudence Degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law in 1992. She immediately started working as counsel for the Office of Legislative Services in San Juan, Puerto Rico. After marrying and moving to Texas in 1995, she was admitted to the Texas State Bar in 1996. Ms. Recio started working in different areas of the law, such as personal injury law and family law; however, in early 2004 she started to practice bankruptcy law and quickly made it her main area of interest. In late 2004 she started her own law firm dedicated exclusively to the practice of bankruptcy law and since then she has dedicated herself to representing debtors in filing for bankruptcy protection under Chapter 7 and 13.
Ms. Recio takes pride in representing her clients professionally and diligently. She enjoys witnessing the financial and emotional relief filing for bankruptcy gives her clients and the unique opportunity bankruptcy provides for a fresh start in life.
Ms. Recio joined the law firm of Tow & Koenig, PLLC in August 2008. She handles Chapter 7 and 13 filings for both personal and business debtors.
